Does prednisone help with occipital neuralgia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doubtful that oral steroids would make much impact, but a cortisone injection to the posterior skull base might well help a great deal. But the key to successful therapy is the confirmation of the correct diagnosis. A neurologist would be ideal to evaluate this condition.
