Talk to your doctor: Generally Prednisone isn't used as needed. It is usually prescribed in a tapering dose to decrease inflammation. There are no significant interactions found with the combination of cymbalta, (duloxetine) Prednisone and oxycodone. Your doctor would rather know how you are feeling to make changes if needed rather than have you make changes on your own.

Yes, but: You can take Cymbalta (duloxetine) and Prednisone together. You can also take oxy for breakthrough pain. The only caution I have is that taking Prednisone without a clear diagnosis behind your pain might not be the best option due to the side effect profile of prolnged Prednisone use.
