A member asked:

Is it normal to have some pressure an pain with occipital neuralgia migraine headaches? is the something i can do

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Occipital neuralgia: Yes. Occipital neuralgia is caused by impingement of the greater occipital nerve from tight muscles in the neck. The result is pain from irritation of the nerve and pressure from tense neck muscles. Physical therapy, massage, injections of the nerve and surgery can relieve the pain. See a neurosurgeon for evaluation and treatment.
