Alprazolam has an elimination half life between 11 hours and 24 hours, meaning the average individual will eliminate all of the medication with a few days. The FDA has not established a pregnancy category for this medication. There are no adequate studies in pregnant women to provide information on drug-related risk. Alprazolam may cause fetal harm when administered during pregnancy.
