Small bleeding: Being constipated and passing a hard stool can cause minor trauma to the lining of the rectum and anus. Other causes of a small amount of blood can be from hemorrhoids. At your age, it is unlikely to be anything more significant. If you have prolonged bleeding or prolonged pain you may want to seek out a physician to perform a rectal exam or a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy.
