Left anterior chest has various causes. Your description is nonspecific but doesn't appear characteristic of heartburn or a heart attack. It could be musculoskeletal. ?stress ?strain. Any tender spots? If the discomfort persists, it's advisable to be examined while you're experiencing it. If it has subsided you should visit your MD for a checkup sometime soon.
