Theoretically, the medications may be able to be distinguished from one another, depending on whether or not the body produces different metabolites (the chemical the drug is broken down into). When taken orally, Vyvanse (lisdexamphetamine) is converted to dextroamphetamine (adderall) so it is possible that both drugs will yield the same metabolites.
