I took metformin to conceive by first child as i was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome . fast forward to currently, and my pcp has put me back on and i'm noticing gluten issues. could this be a side effect? questioning if medication helps?

One of the most common side effects of metformin is diarrhea or other gastrointestinal issues. For most patients, these issues go away after taking the medication for a while. Be sure to report any medication side effects to your PCP so that they can ensure nothing else is causing an issue.
