"High prolactin levels" can occur with pituitary tumors, as tumor size can decrease normal pituitary hormones, one of which allows the hormone which stops prolactin production normally to be decreased, thereby allowing prolactin production. See a neurosurgeon for an exam, who may order additional testing (MRI of the sella turcica) if prolactin is over 100.
