I assume your rapid throat culture demonstrated strep. Did you have any other respiratory tract symptoms in addition to a sore throat? If so, an accompanying viral infection may also have been present. This would be unaffected by antibiotics and your current symptoms may be due to the viral component of illness with some ongoing inflammation. I'd give this a few more days before seeing the MD aga
