A member asked:

I had a scalp biopsy. the dermatologist tended to refer to it as a "funny-looking" freckle, but when i pushed the issue, the dermatologist could not rule out melanoma? if it is melanoma, what symptoms might i have now? how is this typically treated?

It will be known for sure if it's a melanoma when the biopsy result is available. Discuss it with your dermatologist at that time. Good luck.

This freckle could be a basil cell, keratotic lesion or a melanoma. A biopsy will determine what it is and the treatment necessary. Don't worry, the proper treatment is on it's way.
