The best way to diagnose a rash is to have the rash seen by a doctor. An evaluation by a dermatologist may be needed-especially if the rash is not going away in spite of treatment. You don’t say how old the child is or exactly what you have tried but it is probably time to have this rash seen by a doctor, starting with the child’s doctor and then a dermatologist, if needed. Good luck!

A photo of the rash and change to the rash is helpful and may be reviewed by your Pediatrician or Healthtap. Watch for signs of pain, fever and decreased use of the knee and leg. Please follow up.
