Both medicines do different things. A bronchodilator causes your airways to dilate and limits bronchospasm whereas a mucolytic medicine makes the mucous thinner and easier to cough up. Both medicines together would make it easier to cough up mucous in airways that are open and not constricted. So, these medicines can be taken together. Good luck to you!
