I assume you're not dealing with herpes tonsillitis. Low lymphocyte count is evidence against active mononucleosis. If you haven't been evaluated by an oral surgeon, consult one. If you already have done so, I recommend seeing an oral surgeon at a department of oral surgery at a dental school or university hospital near you. Any appropriate testing will be done.
