Opioids can generally be detected by a hair drug test for up to three months, or 90 days, after a person’s last use. However, highly unlikely that a single 5mg tablet of percocet would be detectable. The data that states the 90 day period is in chronic opioid users.

Technically, hair testing can reveal use of opiates up to 90 days, but 1 pill will most likely not even show up. Hair tests detect regular use or abuse of drugs.
