You are only transmitting the hepatitis A during active (acute) infection with fever, jaundice (yellow skin) and reactive Hep A IgM and +/- reactive Hep A IgG. Reactive hepatitis A IgG only means you have been infected in the past. There is no chronic hepatitis A. Take care!

If you have hepatitis A antibodies, it means that you have been infected with hepatitis A at some point in the past, but not that you are infectious now. You should clarify this with your primary care doctor or the Doctor Who drew the test, to be sure that it is interpreted properly. Good luck.
