My son, 36, hurt his mid back a couple of years ago while working out.. it was not with heavy weight, he just moved wrong.. he still gets bouts of this pain now, and it hurts him mostly to lay flat, what can he do to help this? any exercises to help?

Exercise, strengthening, and flexibility can all be very helpful for back pain. However, if the pain is recurring, he should be evaluated, have imaging, and referral to physical therapy to design an exercise program that is safe and effective for his specific issues. Hope he feels better soon!
