The abnormal patterns regarding areas in the brain of hypometabolism are very important to the interpretation and arriving at a definitive diagnosis. These scans are often interpreted by multiple docs across different specialties, an example a neurologist and a neuro-radiologist. Correct diagnosis is important for correct treatment!
