A member asked:

What does it mean on a fdg-pet and fusion ct scan, slight prominence of sylvian fissure on each side? as well as symmetric hypometabolism within bilateral anterior temporal lobes? (looking for ppa vs ad) thank you?

Was this done due to cognitive changes? You may possess some atrophy, and the findings in the temporal lobe may correlate with early dementia, BUT, my comments are based upon your description, and it is best that you review the films and correlate with your clinical complaints. Discuss with your doctor and the radiologist.
