It would depend on the amount of hemoglobin complexed with carbon monoxide, Point of Care blood gas analyzers, often available in ER can determine the amount of hemoglobin complexed with carbon monoxide. If you had a mild exposure, oxygen administration would not been warranted.

I was exposed to carbon monoxide for several hours. Have been to Er room several times. Still have headaches, vertigo, lightheadedness and extreme fatigue. Could i have some kind of brain damage? I was never given oxygen the first day of exposure?
29 days after carbon monoxide exposure, several trips to emergency room including the day of exposure. Still suffering from headaches, lightheadedness. and vertigo. Blood tests each visit and last trip a ct scan only now they say i have vertigo. Help?
