If that pain persists you should be examined; pain at the waist is less likely from the floating ribs, good luck!

Just from this description, it is impossible to know the answer. You certainly will need to have a physical examination in order to determine what is going on, if the pain persists. I would give it a few days, but if it does not resolve or if it worsens, I would see your primary care doctor. Good luck.
