I take .5mg xanax 2xday. is it safe to take maletonin at bedtime too if i space them out? i think the xanax is keeping me awake, but my anxiety gets terrible at bedtime and afraid to mix?

The combination of Xanax and melatonin is unlikely to cause problems, but I would start with a very low dose of melatonin (1 mg to start) and work your way up, just in case. If you get too much sedation, you can stop the melatonin or cut it back. Good luck.
