You can use over-the-counter antacids while taking oral contraceptives, without any change in the effectiveness of the contraception. If you require the ant acids for longer than two weeks or so, or if your symptoms recur after you stop using the on assets, you should see your doctor or a gastroenterologist. Good luck.
