A member asked:

What does "mobile" or "movable" tumor mean? does it mean that it can move throughout the body, or that it can be moved around a stationary position in the body?

Generally that phrase means that on a physical exam a physician is able to move the lump from side to side. It does not imply anything about moving throughout the body. If you have a tumor, be sure to follow up as your doctor suggests. Good luck.

Movable means it is not fixed to other tissues and can be moved locally to an inch or two. A movable tumor is more likely to be benign.
