Pain will resolve: Following removal of a plica you have some scar tissue and general synovitis (inflammation of joint). These are likely the reason for your pain. Modify activity, ice, antiinflammatory and knee exercises. And it will likely resolve

Meniscus.: Usually there are two other possibilities: Arthritis (which I don't think you have at age 17), or a medial meniscal tear. See your surgeon for re-evaluation.
