How much do u drink: Alcohol can cause diarrhea, affects motility of bowel, can affect absorption. Patients with celiac sprue can get diarrhea after drinking beer (malt-barleyor wheat is the issue), other spirits (rye, whiskey, vodka) controversial, but may aggravate sprue.
