How can braces move your cupids bow? what is the medical explanation/logic for this, when brackets are attached to your teeth and not lips?

When teeth are moved, the surrounding tissue can move.

Your lips are attached to your gums, your gums to your jaw bone, the bone to a microscopic ligament that supports the teeth. It takes as long as 2 years for soft-tissue drape to readapt. Ask your Orthodontist to review your pre- and post-treatment diagnostic records with you.
