No. Your body will process the iron you took and take what it needs/discard the rest. Baby will get only what it needs from the placenta. This is not enough to be toxic.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. Actually, taking oral iron supplements is a common practice during pregnancy and will help with your low iron and help the baby acquire sufficient iron stores.
