I suggest you look into a TENs (tonic electronic nerve stimulation) unit that allows a passive toning session for this muscle group. Slendertone, among others, makes such a belt system and a 30-40 min/day passive treatment can keep you toned without the extra work of crunches. Great back in High School-not so much at 70.
