Any antibacterial ointment can be used including bacitracin or triple antibiotic ointment. You can ask a pharmacist for recommendations at the pharmacy. Keep the cut clean and covered while it is open to prevent infection. If it gets more red, swollen or if you see pus, then see your doctor. Good luck!!

Cleaning any wound with hydrogen peroxide is a simple way to avoid allergic response, it turns to water. I don't understand your reluctance to use Neosporin. It is used millions of times/day with no problems in most. If you want to self-test for allergies, put a dab on a Band-Aid pad applied to intact skin. If you are one of those allergic to it a skin reaction would occur within hours.
