All HPV blood tests are unreliable for diagnosing HPV infection, and they are not recommended for screening, clinical care, or risk assessment. This particular test is used in research to judge how well a person is protected against HPV after being vaccinated. Maybe future research will find it useful for other purposes, but not yet.
