Im on eliquis for clotting disorder. high risk. previous pe. why do i never bleed from gums nor after giving blood. it seems eliquis isnt working ? inr is 0.9 and pt ptt normal. ?

Gum bleeding or bleeding from phlebotomy is not observed with recommended dose of eliquis when used for thrombophylaxis. INR, PT, PTT are not affected by eliquis. Your eliquis should work and in contrast you should pay concern when you have abnormal bleeding such as gum bleeding or prolonged bleeding after a small cut or phlebotomy.
