Is viberzi safe in people that still have their gallbladder? i've had been ibs-d for years and nothing otc has worked. i've seen reports of pancreatitis but mostly in those without their gallbladder. pls advise?

Pancreatitis can rarely occur in patients on Viberzi who have had their gallbladder removed. Since the pancreatitis can occur even after just one or two doses, even if no alcohol has been consumed , it has been advised not to use Viberzi if the gallbladder has been removed. Good luck.
