This information comes with having a good source of routine health care with a primary physician, rather than episodic care through several random docs. We have schedules for these. The first Gardasil (4) was approved in 2006 with an updated version in 2014. The target age range is 7-26, primarily to have protection before sexual activity starts or strains of HPV acquired.

Your pediatrician or your family doctor or internist now, can tell you what immunizations you have had and what you still may need. You likely had the childhood ones when you were younger for school. The Gardasil or HPV vaccine is the one for cervical cancer; it does not treat, it is for prevention. HPV can be given starting at age 9. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/index.html
