My 60yr dad for the past couple of weeks has had symptoms of nausea,stomach upset, dizziness, & sometimes black stools.his upset stomach has gone away.dizziness has gotten worse has had a blood test &came back normal. scared its something serious?

The black stools need to be investigated as this could be a sign of GI bleeding. He should see a GI doctor ASAP and possibly go to the nearest ER if these symptoms are ongoing. Anemia due to the GI bleeding could be causing his symptoms. Go to the ER with him if he continues with these symptoms so a GI doctor can see him ASAP. Good luck to both of you!

Agree with Dr. Ferranti. Your description is consistent with bleeding in the stomach and intestine and your father needs to be evaluated by a GI specialist.
