A member asked:

What portion of a blood test tells progression of lung cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Progression" of lung cancer is generally monitored by radiographic imaging (CT or MRI) which may show metastatic disease. Cancer progression can also result in diminished respiratory reserve. "Blood tests" may show changes in elements of cellular composite content (anemia, higher white cell content, for example).
