If trichomonas is the cause of discharge, it should clear up within a week of treatment (usually with metronidazole for 5-7 days). At least it should go back to your normal level and type of discharge or moisture. People your age with trich also need testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia, which often accompany trich. And your sex partner(s) must be treated as well, or you wills soon have it again.

If you have trichomonas and get it treated, it is certainly possible that your vaginal discharge may change. Contact your gynecologist if you are concerned about it. Good luck.
