Calprotectin >1000 but clear colonoscopy ? why is this?

Was the colonoscopy performed while the calprotectin level was very elevated or some time later? When inflammatory bowel disease quiets down the fecal calprotectin level often drops significantly. Otherwise other causes of high levels may be from any inflammation within the intestinal tract including infection or damage from anti-inflammatory meds like advil or naproxen.
