A member asked:

I reuse the oil that have food particles in there and kept in a jar for 1 month fear of botulism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You're taking a chance storing used cooking oil containing food particles on which bacteria can feed. Botulism can occur if the temperature isn't cold enough to prevent the growth of the clostridium bacteria that produce the toxin. The oil has no preservative effect.
