L-theanine can be used safely for mild anxiety. Sticking with standardized version called “suntheanine” is a good idea, as this version has been utilized in human studies. Of course someone’s medical history, medication usage, and allergy history will affect use of this supplement. So make sure your are checking in with your primary care doctor before adding any supplements to a medical regimen.
