Lower back is not the area where the kidneys are,. They are in the flank area. Your symptoms seem like random muscle twitches which graduall go away on their own.

I am asthmatic and suffer from sinusitis. I was out of town for two weeks and got a lot of asthma attacks for the past two weeks (early mornings). Later I started feeling a pain in my mid to lower back left side when I cough. also when I bend now.
