This is a decision that would be made by the surgical team. The site preparation techniques and sterile surgical methods make something of a normal germ living in your nose unlikely to make a difference in the procedure. That said, the surgical team and hospital have their own guidelines for which issues can result in cancelling a procedure.

Surgical team will make the decision based on specific protocols implemented at the facility, relatively common screening procedure.
