It may be a variation on your normal pattern. One episode of heavy bleeding is not a cause for concern. Take oral iron and multivitamins to prevent anemia from blood loss, if the pattern of heavy bleeding recurs at subsequent period, it would be prudent to discuss it your doctor. Get HPV vaccine.
