Why is my 11 year old testing negative on day 5 of having covid. but im on day 9/10 and still getting a positive result in 2 minutes or less? is that normal? also can he end isolation?

Some people clear the infection quicker than others;many adults can be positive for 14 or more days and may be/are likely to be contagious during that time.Your son should wear a mask for days 6-10 around others(not necessary around you)but does not need to stay home (isolate).You should keep isolating until your test is negative.If you must leave the house, wear a well-fitting KN95/N95 mask.
