COVID 19: Do you or your child have COVID 19 symptoms? Would quarantine. The incubation period is usually 2 to 14 days (but can be as quick as one day). The median time if 5 days. You have more chance of having an accurate test result if you have symptoms or you wait at least a few days after COVID 19 contact. Dr. can help this sort this out if you have symptoms. Regarding tesing-don't know where you live
