There has been inconsistent data suggesting abnormal functioning in the orbitofrontal region of the brain, but clinical correlation is often lacking. Problems with processing speed seem most often present. Emotional disorders can cause difficulty with focus and concentration, but NOT true short-term memory loss, which involves the temporal lobe. Can sort out with neuropsych. testing.
