The 2 methods of obtaining blood pressure are typically very similar. But, if there is a discrepancy, the manual one taken by a doctor or nurse tends to be the more accurate one. It is typically used to be sure the digital one is accurate. The digital one can be inaccurate if the heart beat is irregular, for example. Best of luck to you!
