A member asked:

Can you use flonase or azelastine nasal sprays if you have covid or other viral infections that affect your nose or respiratory system? i'm asking because these drugs are immunosuppressants so concerned about adverse consequences?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

With an active covid infection I would skip the flonase (a corticosteroid) and use the azelastine and a decongestant nasal spray like sudafed according to instructions may reduce nasal membrane congestion for you if you're clogged up.
