A member asked:

What tests are reliable for investigating the complaint of the feeling of food being stuck in throat after heavy meals?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You likely gave a sore in your swallow tube triggered by a scratchy food or acid reflux from your stomach. This can trigger a spasm in the tube which eventually relaxes. An ENT or Gastroenterologist can look down your throat with a camera in a tube to document any foreign object or sore. Most would not consider doing it until they have treated for reflux with no success.
