I have some gas. i have ibs. i have a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow and plan to drink 40 oz of water before the test. will gas affect my test? anything i need to do?

The gas is an easy to decern agent that can help the structures studied in an ultrasound stand out. I wouldn't worry about it. The fluid intake is a good way to fill the bladder and help define its size and wall thickness, and make it well defined against the other structures studied. Relax.
